By default upon delivery, the Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) Snooping func-
tion is activated. If necessary, it can be deactivated in the Web-based management (WBM).
e WBM is a user interface that can be used to manage the switch from anywhere in the
network using a standard browser (see Chapter 4).
Basic Settings
e basic Ethernet functions do not have to be congured and are available when the sup-
ply voltage is switched on.
Default Settings
Upon delivery or aer the system is reset to default settings, the following functions and
properties are available:
e password is “private.”
All IP parameters are deleted. e switch has no valid IP parameters: IP address:
0.0.0.0, Subnet mask: 0.0.0.0 and Gateway: 0.0.0.0
BootP is activated as the addressing mechanism.
All available ports are activated with the following parameters: Auto negotiation and
auto crossing for RJ-45 ports. 100 MBps-full duplex for FX ports.
All information collected by the SNMP agent is deleted.
